How to Lose Weight
I would like to start my blog with a question i hear all the time: how much weight can you lose in a month?A simple question with a complex answer, several factors effect this but it basically boils down to calorie intake. To lose weight you have to consume fewer calories than your body burns per day. So, if you burn 2300 calories a day, you need to eat 2299 or less. Although, cutting down one calorie a day will not result in any visible weight loss. For example, to lose 10 pounds a month you need to consume 1000 calories less than you burn a day. So if your body is burning 3000 calories a day, only eat 2000 calories of food. This is why diet plans such as weight watchers are so effective. It does not matter what you eat, it matters how you eat. 10 pounds a month is great goal to go for and is also about the max you can lose a month in a healthy way.
Healthy Ways to Lose Weight
Take it from me, a typical Texas diet will not help you lose weight! Between the fat from rib grease and the alarming number of fast food restaurants, Texans are good at gaining weight not losing it. Don’t worry y’all, I have a solution. Unfortunately the fast food has to go, there is no way around that. However, many of the other foods can stay with just some minor tweaks to keep you under the calorie limit. Switch all the deep fried dishes to grilled. A grilled chicken leg can taste just as good as a deep fried chicken wing when done properly. The same goes with dessert, yes, you can still eat the cake, just cut down the portion. Avoid deep fried Oreos and similar foods. These two simple tips alone could allow you lose 10 pounds a month.
While losing weight can be difficult, it does not mean that you have to suffer for the duration of the diet. The goal is find a new healthier diet that you can modify once you have reached your weight loss goal. If you go back to eating the same way you did before the diet, you will inevitably return to your previous weight and you will find yourself in a rapid weight loss program once again. To avoid this, lose the desired weight so that you look and feel healthy. Next, stick to the same types of foods but increase the calorie intake to maintain that weight.
Lose weight Exercising
After you lose your desired weight with your diet, if you still find it impossible to keep with your new diet than you may need to start exercising. Those cheeseburgers might be bad but eating them without working out is worse. Some people are able to add 30 minutes of physical activity to their daily schedule and avoid dieting completely. It all depends on your metabolism and how your body works. Some people may need to diet and exercise to lose their desired weight in a month. Furthermore, 30 minutes of physical activity does not mean strenuous activity. 30 minutes for you could be; running on treadmill, biking, a spinning class, hot yoga, push ups and sit ups and a ton of other options.
